A brief history ...

With over a decade of experience under our belt, NuTechs is proud of its successful growth into one of Southeast Michigan's premier IT consulting firms.

Here's a quick glimpse of our history ...

1993 - NuTechs is launched. Permanent placement focus. Two sales people, two recruiters.
1994 - Staff Augmentation Services practice is formed - rapidly becomes principal business focus.
1996 - Groupware Consulting Practice (Collaborative Solutions) is formed. Technical expertise focuses on Lotus Notes. Groupware practice grows from 2 consultants to 8. Overall IT consulting staff increases to 12 by year end.
1997 - Consulting staff increases 50%
1998 - Consulting staff increases by 36%
1999 - Network Services and Web-Based Solutions Practices are launched. Lotus R5 product announced, revolutionizing the collaborative groupware industry. NuTechs Groupware practice becomes largest in Michigan. Consultant staff increases by 35%.
2000 - Manufacturing Solutions practice is launched. NuTechs Quick Web Lotus Notes based product is launched, IBM e-Business certification status attained.
2001 - Partnership with iEnterprises as reseller/integrator of iExtensions for Notes, a CRM/Sales Force Automation solution for all enterprises - both large and small. Opened Kalamazoo branch office.
2002 - Garnered Finalist rating in Beacon Award at Lotusphere. WebSphere certifications gained.
2003 - Second year in a row, named finalist for Beacon Award at Lotusphere. Named to IBM's "Lotus Workplace Messaging" National Launch Team.

NuTechs was founded in 1993 as a permanent staffing firm with an initial focus on placement of IT professionals. However, our clients' growing demand for short-term staffing solutions resulted in NuTechs' quick evolution to a staff augmentation operation. Innovative and flexible staffing solutions on both a short and long-term basis became, and remains, the hallmark of NuTechs' Consulting Services practice.

In 1996 NuTechs launched its Groupware practice (which has 'transformed' into the Collaboration Solutions group), bringing together a highly experienced group of messaging and collaborative solutions professionals. By leveraging our development and administration expertise in a variety of collaborative platforms we are able to provide practical solutions to traditional business problems. This practice has grown into the largest dedicated collaboration practice in Southeast Michigan.

The burgeoning demand from NuTechs' customers for fast, practical network, web and e-commerce solutions encouraged the creation of our Network Services and Web-Based Solutions practices in early 1999. By concurrently launching these two practices, NuTechs is able to combine each group's resources to provide both support and entire end-to-end solutions. Network Services is now and important part of our Consulting Services practice.

NuTechs continually takes significant strides toward preserving its position on the cutting edge of IT solutions, and our partnership with iEnterprises is a perfect example of taking one of our core strengths - Collaboration Solutions, in this case - and leveraging it with a great "shrink-wrapped" product.

The pace has been fast; the action has been furious; our focus on the customer has been unwavering. NuTechs is proud of its history and its well-earned reputation as one of Southeast Michigan's premier IT consulting providers.
